Banana

How the sun plays a trick on a banana leaf in our yard. I simply love this picture, as I have since I first took it.

Glasses of water?

This is from the period I really loved to move my camera while taking a picture. Slow shutter speed, turning the camera, et voilĂ ! (I still like these pictures, they're so vibrant and magical.)

Roadways

One road leads to London,
One road runs to Wales,
My road leads me seawards
To the white dipping sails.

One road leads to the river,
As it goes singing slow;
My road leads to shipping,
Where the bronzed sailors go.

Leads me, lures me, calls me
To salt green tossing sea;
A road without earth's road-dust
Is the right road for me.

A wet road heaving, shining,
And wild with seagulls' cries,
A mad salt sea-wind blowing
The salt spray in my eyes.

My road calls me, lures me
West, east, south, and north;
Most roads lead men homewards,
My road leads me forth

To add more miles to the tally
Of grey miles left behind,
In quest of that one beauty
God put me here to find.

Feeling Blue

Documenting some bruise or other. I have no idea why, probably because I couldn't remember how I got it.

Tied Up

Proof for generations yet to come: I can tie the double windsor knot (or at least I think this was a double windsor).

Selfportrait

When my DSLR was still very new, I tried every single option. Including the longest exposure (30 seconds).

New Possibilities

A few years ago I bought a nice camera, a few years later I got my first cameraphone. Ever since those two picture taking devices entered my life, I've been prone to taking pictures of ordinary, absurd, ridiculous and quite strange things. I just happen to stumble upon something, and before I know it, I've already taken a picture. Because these snapshots are only gathering digital dust on my hard disk, I decided to find a use for these photos. Hence this blog. Above you see one of the first photos I took with my new camera a few years ago. (It's not new anymore, of course)

You'll see photo's taken with my DSLR, or with my respective phones. Quality might vary, especially since my first ever cameraphone was a bit photographically challenged. My current phone has a higher pixelage (or whatever you want to call it) than my DSLR, but still, it's a phone, not an actual camera.

I'm not sure if I will continue in chronological order, or if I will skip back and forth through time.
